Ladies and Jags start strongly…

The Storm lost their season opener in the new competition – the Wessex Regional League East – by 4 to Tandridge Stealers in Chessington before recording good wins against Swindon by 42 in Ladies Div 1 and Farnborough by 34 in the Richard Bell Cup. This Sunday (10th November) they take on their perennial rivals Aldworth Arrows who are 1 and 1 in the league so far…

The Suns are the only unbeaten team in the club after beating Aldworth Darts in the league 50-37 and getting a 20-0 walk-over in the Cup against Woodley Wildcats. Tonight (Tuesday 5th November) they are at Collingwood College taking on Camberley Goldhawks in the league.

The Jags started their season off with a good win against Woking Blackhawk Hunters, had a disappointing loss at home to Swindon and then won their first round Karl Taylor Cup match against a strong team from Maidenhead. Currently top of Div 1 they play Basingstoke Blizzards tonight (Tuesday 5th November) at Wellington – Basingstoke having started their campaign off with a win and a loss against Slough Scorpions.

The Lemmings got off to a tough start losing to the unbeaten league leaders London Patriots 2. The new-look team under new coach Mike Church then had a run of three losses which saw the deficit decrease with each game – 13 against Basingstoke, 9 against Craftsmen and just 2 against Wolfpack in the Cup. Last night saw a slight setback as they came unstuck at Yateley…The Lemmings next action is at Wellington College on Tuesday 12th November against Kennet.

The Falcons opened with a frustrating 8-point defeat at the hands of Farnborough before overcoming local rivals Cobras Venom by 4. Losses to Windsor and Woking in the league were tough but an encouraging performance in the Cup gave the team a boost, albeit with the tie being lost. On Sunday 10th November they travel to Woodley to take on the Greenflash.
