Wales Ladies Coach guest coaches

Welsh Ladies Assistant CoachCJ Lee puts Storm and Suns players through their paces

On Wednesday 19th September, the ladies were treated to a pre-season training session byCJ Lee, the currentHead Coach Solent Kestrels National League team,Assistant Coach Women’s Welsh team and Head Coach of the Women’s U18 Welsh team.

CJ ran an intense training session with the ladies who were in attendance.

Amanda Trinder, Suns head coach and Storm player enthused:

Here at Aztecs we have a strong core group of women who are now regularly training and are the foundation of our 2 teams in the Wessex leagues. It felt like the right time to offer addition expertises to the group and having CJ Lee come as a guest coach this season does exactly that. He has a wealth of expereince at all levels, specifically coaching women. Having been coached by CJ in the past I knew the standard he could bring and I feel that the squad really enjoyed what he had to offer at the session this week.

Moving forward we will adopt some of the practices and attitudes he brought and will certainly be inviting him back! This has been an opportunity for the squad to reset our attitude to training and that should benefit both coaches and players alike for the season ahead.

Thank you to CJ for his time and we look forward to more in the future.

It’s a privilege to come and work with Aztecs women and help them get ready for the season. You have got some really talented players and the key now is to keep putting in the hard work. I will come and watch during the season. My final note to the ladies is – urgency is the key

The ladies teams begin their campaigns on 7th October (Suns away at Yateley Silverbacks Ladies) and 10th October (Storm away at Chiltern).

The first fixtures for Aztecs tip-off next week as the Falcons take on Yateley Silverbacks 3s at Wellington College at 7:30pm on Tuesday 25th September.
