Earlier in the season we scored 100 points against Winchester and beat them by 75. This time they were clearly better, which is good because it makes for a more competitive game, but we did not execute anything like as well. I believe the key factor is that we just did not shoot well. Much of the movement offensively was good and we created a lot of really good shooting opportunities and then missed them. It’s a pity we do not have the stats on the game to support that, but one stat we do have is that we missed 14 free shots – we only made 9 of 23 just 39%. By comparison in the 4 previous games since Christmas we have shot 77%. Better shooting and we could easily have scored 70 points. Defensively we were slightly off in the first half but much better in the second half.
At the end of the day it was a win and good to have had a more competitive game and we will probably gain more from it than from winning easily
