COACH SKINNER’S ASSESSMENT:
There was great intensity and pace to our game for 3 quarters, then the injury to Auriol spoiled what had been a good afternoon and we were all more concerned about that and never regained our momentum. We were well clear by then, anyway. Woodley have some very talented individual players and made some remarkable shots so they can always be a threat. We minimised that with our aggression, holding them to just 17 points in 3 quarters. We were also good against their man defence. We missed too many close to the basket, but they are tall and aggressive and 77 points is a very decent score. Very good job by Nynke and Amanda covering the point. Auriol we all hope the knee is not too bad and you will be back on court soon.
