MATCH SUMMARY:

KEY STAT:

The 17-0 run midway through the final quarter was the deciding factor in this game.

COACH SKINNER’S ASSESSMENT:

We did not start with enough tempo in our game and struggled offensively to create good opportunities against their box and 1. That affected our confidence and in the 2nd quarter we were even more sluggish. At half time we were only 4 up but good to be ahead after being well short of our best. In the 3rd quarter we were better playing ata higher tempo. That really helped accentuate the difference in the depth of the two teams and by the 4th we had a lot more energy than they did and played some really good basketball. Midway through the 4th quarter we went on 17-0 run and completely took the game away from them. There were some really good performances in the 2nd half and nice to see so many people on the score sheet and the points spread around so well.

NEXT GAME:

Return fixture against the Blackhawks, this time in the Rich Bell Cup on Sunday 14th January
