Match Summary
This game was remarkably similar to last week – Woking scored the same, we scored slightly fewer, the first quarter was close, just 3 points in it, and then we progressively imposed our depth and quality and eventually dominated and won well.
There were two important differences which are encouraging for the future. We played a box and one defence from the second quarter and that clearly made a significant difference. We held them to just 4 points in that second quarter. Secondly as we found it harder to score inside, we created more and better opportunities from outside which ultimately forced them to change their defence.
Overall, it was another good run but we need to keep using these games and upcoming training sessions to get back to the levels of performance we are going to need for the tougher tests ahead. But for now, a good job done and on to another Cup Final against Aldworth.
