MATCH SUMMARY:
This was an outstanding and dominant performance against a main rival. 69 points is a really good score and one we have bettered only once this season.
COACH SKINNER’S ASSESSMENT:
We started strong and maintained a good tempo throughout the game. Excluding the 3rdquarter where we played a 2-1-2 zone, we kept them to only 14 points, of which 8 were free throws! Offensively our score came from a good mix of inside, outside and on the break. I thought our offensive transition was excellent – people worked hard to get down court, so usually had several options and rebounders. We made good decisions and getting the ball down court early to the right people and we converted well. In our half court offence we moved the ball as well as we have all season, carrying on from Wednesday’s final quarter and once we created good shooting opportunities, we shot well. All in all, a very impressive team performance, well done everyone, lets go and do it again next Sunday.
