Match summary:
When a loss feels like a win!
A much improved, in fact 180 degree turnaround in performance compared to Monday – against Farnborough’s 1st team. Keeping them to just 4 points in the first quarter you could see they were concerned.
4-7, 8-6, 11-10, and final quarter of 16-12 meant we could quite catch them. However the Suns played some lovely basketball and created good offensive opportunities – the shots just didn’t quite drop enough.
Key stat:
A final quarter of 16-12 in favour of Farnborough was the only difference in the game.
Coach Trinder’s assessment:
In this league all games will be decided by a few points. We will win some and lose some. Let’s focus on getting those wins in the 2nd half of the season and based on last night – that should be no problem at all.
I know the team felt last night was a great game and I do hope you take that – and bring it in the new year so we can go on to a winning run.
